The Greg Chappell-Sourav Ganguly conflict has become an excuse for more sniping between the two warring factions of the cricket board.
Former BCCI President Raj Singh Dungarpur hinted at a press conference in Mumbai today that Chappell's e-mail was leaked to the press at the behest of his rival Jagmohan Dalmiya's camp.
Dungarpur said that while he had no evidence to support his theory, his long years of dealing with Dalmiya made it fairly obvious.
RS Dungarpur is known to be anti-Sourav Ganguly and anti-Jagmohan Dalmiya. However, his stature as a former board president meant that his allegations of the board leaking out the Greg Chappell e-mail do have some credibility.
In the 2,800 word e-mail to his BCCI bosses, Chappell had accused Ganguly of being physically and mentally unfit to lead the team.
